The GSK Human Performance Lab is proudly sponsoring the 2015 BASES Conference being held at St. George’s Park on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd December 2015.

The two-day programme will be packed with world-leading insight and experience in sport and exercise sciences, constructed by the BASES expert Scientific Programme Committee, including HPL’s Research and Development Director, Dr. Ken van Someren.

Members of the Human Performance Lab team will present our latest research, discussing extreme exploration and the demands it places on physiological and cognitive function. Ana Anton-Solanas, HPL Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist, will present novel data on the demands of polar expeditions and Joshua Jackman, HPL PhD student, will present on the effects of cherry juice on recovery from repeated sprint exercise.

Other members of the HPL team will be attending the conference, manning the HPL’s stand providing information around: our partnerships with elite athletes and sporting organisations, current scientific research being undertaken in the lab and the HPL’s Science Community.
