The GSK Human Performance Lab podcast series is hosted by members of the GSK HPL team, exploring prominent areas of research at the HPL, including cognition, movement, physiology, nutrition and digestive health and how this impacts and supports innovation for GSK consumer healthcare. We will also share exclusive insight into our novel and innovative work and discuss and provide comment on important developments within the HPL’s fields of expertise and research.

GSK HPL Senior Scientist, Matthew Furber, was joined by Dr. Glen Davison from the University of Kent, for this in-depth discussion surrounding the role of immunity within the human body. The podcast explored a range of topics including: how we measure immunity, the J-shaped curve of immunity and exercise intensity and strategies to enhance immune function.

The second episode of the GSK Human Performance Lab podcast series introduces the ongoing discovery and applied research carried out at the lab. The Coxless Crew – Rowing the Pacific: 4 women, 1 boat

Our first podcast takes perhaps a less scientific approach, but provides fascinating insights and perspectives from two of the Coxless Crew (and HPL partners), Laura Penhaul and Emma Mitchell. The girls recently completed a world record-setting Pacific Ocean row from San Francisco to Cairns, and will be joined on the podcast by HPL Sports Nutritionist and Dietitian, Ana Anton-Solanas, who provided scientific support for the crew.
